Wee Forest Folk Special M-179 - Sea Sounds (Navy w/ Star)

This tiny mouse figurine is spending his long weekend at the beach in his navy blue bathing trunks with a white star on one side. There's a silver pail trimmed in red in the sand at his feet. He carries a silver toy shovel in one hand and holds a lovely conch shell up to his ear with the other. He and his mouse friends (sold separately) are pretending the sea shells are walkie-talkies. Much more fun than a set of tin cans and a string don't you think? We're sure they're discussing their plans for the evening fireworks! The details on this little piece will make you smile; from the surprised expression on his adorable face, to his teeny, tiny belly button and leather tail! This vintage miniature figurine is in excellent condition. It comes in a Wee Forest Folk box for gifting and storage. Sculpted and initialed by Annette Petersen. Approximate dimensions: 1.375" (h) x 1" (w). A special color produced in 1997.

A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
