Wee Forest Folk Miniatures M-111 - Spring Gardener (Blue)

Made in 1984, this tiny Wee Forest Folk mouse tending to her garden is a wonderful example of Annette Petersen's early work. She wears a blue dress and carries a yellow watering can with a cute folk art heart design painted on the side as she gives her pretty pink flowers a drink. A meaningful vintage gift for Mother's Day, spring, or for anyone who loves their garden. This miniature figurine is in excellent condition and comes in a Wee Forest Folk box for gifting and storage. Sculpted by Annette Petersen. Approximate dimensions: 1.5" x 1.25".

The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
