Wee Forest Folk Special M-040 - Miss Bobbin (Independence Day)
Miss Bobbin is the oldest piece in the Wee Forest Folk line and one of Annette's favorites. An important piece in any Wee Forest Folk collection. This particular version of Miss Bobbin at her sewing machine is painted in patriotic red, white, and blue with only 100 pieces made. Miss Bobbin wears a red dress with white polka dots and a white apron. Her MICE brand sewing machine is white and so realistic you can almost hear the rhythmic humming as the needle goes up and down. The fabric she has chosen is blue with white stars. We can't wait to see what she creates! Sculpted and initialed by Annette Petersen in 1979. This color combination was made in a quantity of only 100 in 2001. Approximate dimensions: 1.25" x 1.625".

The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
