Checker Chums is a very special Wee Forest Folk figurine created in collaboration by Annette, Willy, and Donna Petersen and signed by all three. These Wee Forest Folk friends, a possum and a mouse, are playing an intense game of checkers, and possum is contemplating his next move. Our friendly little mouse smiles as he sits back in his easy chair, convinced he's going to win. You might remember seeing these two pals together before, at Possum's Pizza Party. We can't help but notice that our pink-nosed possum was downing a diet soda in his last appearance too. Some things never change! Such a fun little figurine to place under a small cloche on your game room table or in any miniature display. Comes in a box for gifting and storage. Approximate dimensions: 3" long x 1.5" tall.

The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
