Wee Forest Folk Miniatures M-195 - Lord & Lady Mousebatten (Wedgwood Blue)

This is the original 1993 version of Lord and Lady Mousebatten by Wee Forest Folk, placed together on one base. The Lady is quite stunning in her wedgwood blue frock with a pink purse and a pink ribbon holding her hat on her tiny head. She's carrying an umbrella just in case it rains, and her hat is bigger than her ears! Lord Mousebatten is a true gentleman and carries himself (and his top hat) accordingly. You can tell these two are accustomed to publicity. A beautiful example of Annette's early work in pristine condition, and a stunning addition to your miniature display! Comes in a Wee Forest Folk box for gifting and storage. Sculpted and initialed by Annette Petersen. Approximate dimensions: 2" x 2.5".

A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
