Wee Forest Folk Limited Edition Nutcracker 5-Piece Numbered Set
This is a complete, numbered, 5-piece set of Wee Forest Folk's interpretation of characters from Tchaikovsky's classical ballet, The Nutcracker. The ballet is set on Christmas Eve at the foot of a Christmas tree in a child's imagination and features a nutcracker doll. A beautiful addition to any miniature Christmas village or Wee Forest Folk collection. The set includes:
NC-1 The Nutcracker
NC-2 Clara (holding a nutcracker mouse)
NC-3 Fritz (riding a rocking horse and blowing a golden horn)
NC-4 Sugar Plum Fairy (ballerina)
NC-5 Mouse King (wearing a crown and wielding a sword)
Only 1000 pieces made. This set is numbered 32/1000 which is a very low and sought after number. Each piece is sculpted and signed by Willy Petersen, and includes the original 2009 date inscription and the gold Nutcracker sticker. Each miniature figurine is in excellent condition and comes in the original illustrated Wee Forest Folk box for gifting and storage.
This set would be an extraordinary gift for any collector of Wee Forest Folk figurines, or anyone who appreciates classic literature or the ballet.
The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
