Wee Forest Folk Limited Edition M-2013 - Pumpkin Junction
This highly detailed miniature Halloween scene by Wee Forest Folk is magnificent! The Wee Forest Folk Halloween train is pulling away from the Wee Train Station on the eve of Halloween. The train includes three cars; an engine, a pumpkin car, and a caboose haunted by a not-so-scary ghost. It's the "Boo" Train! There are no less than four mice included in this figurine; the train conductor, a tiny witch atop the train station, a wizard wearing a purple pointed hat selling candy out of a jack-o-lantern, and a tiny mouse with a star wand casting spells on the porch of the train station. A spooky tree inhabited by a wise owl stands in a graveyard beside the station (we can hear the branches creaking in the autumn wind). The beautiful oval base is decorated with a rocky, mossy, terrain and, of course, there are sunflowers, pumpkins, and candy corn galore! This piece is a collaboration between Donna and Willy Petersen. Includes original certificate of authenticity. Approximate dimensions: 6.375" x 3.625" x 4".

The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
