This festive Wee Forest Folk figurine will bring you back in time to Christmas in the Colonial Period. A Colonial Period mouse stands on a stool and admires herself in a full length mirror. She is preparing for the Christmas ball wearing a holiday dress with a full white skirt trimmed in gold, a long maroon jacket with ruffles on the sleeves, and a headpiece tied with a long holiday ribbon. Her companion mouse, also dressed in holiday attire, is fussing over the hemline using supplies from a tiny sewing basket nearby. So many details to admire! The red, green, and white colors used in this piece put us in a festive mood. A perfect addition to your holiday decor, and a beautiful miniature to place under a tiny glass cloche on the dresser of any fashionista. This piece was made for several different time periods. Wouldn't it be fun to collect them all?! Expertly sculpted and initialed by Willy Petersen. Approximately 2.5" wide x 2.5" tall. Includes a gift box for storage and presentation.

The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
