Wee Forest Folk Miniatures M-360 - Return of the Jolly Tars (Jack)

This is Jack, a Jolly Tar (Sailor), returning from a long journey at sea. He's sitting on a crate, resting his sea legs, and ready to share tall tales of adventure with wide eyed children flocking to the docks to greet the fearless sailors. As described by Willy Petersen, "Jolly Jack, he spoke of treasure and of the reckless buccaneer, though if he'd ever seen one, he'd have surely hid in fear."

This miniature figurine has been customized (by the manufacturer during a limited promotional period) with "Ocean City" printed on the brim of Jack's hat. It is in excellent / new condition. It comes in a Wee Forest Folk box for gifting and storage. Sculpted by Willy Petersen. Approximate dimensions: 1.5" (h) x 0.75" (w).

The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
