The fourth of seven pieces in the Wee Forest Folk Meadow Muses series, The Postman a la Van Gogh figurine was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's famous paintings of his friend and postal worker Joseph Roulin. You'll love the vibrant blue postal uniform, messenger bag, and cap labeled "postes". Sculpted by Willy Petersen, this piece will be appreciated by lovers of fine art, Van Gogh, miniatures, and of course, collectors of Wee Forest Folk figurines. The Petersen Family have been crafting Wee Forest Folk exquisite miniatures since 1972 right here in the USA. A Wee Forest Folk figurine begins as an original clay piece which is hand sculpted by one of three sculptors in the Petersen family. The finished sculpture is molded and hand cast at the "mouse factory" in Carlisle, MA. Carefully selected artists flawlessly paint each one by hand bringing to life a sweet little mouse personality.
